ICE - Reform Don't Punish

Yesterday, I attended an ICE protest in Indianapolis, IN., at the Governor's mansion. This was an organized peaceful protest. I estimated 400 peaceful protesters. Prior to the start, there was an organized gathering with speakers who educated protesters on ICE procedures and ramifications. There were two testimonials which created a genuine understanding of ICE's negative influences against honest immigrants. Also, local immigration lawyers described the lengthy and expensive process detained immigrants must follow.
Protesters agreed individuals must follow immigration laws - that was un-disputed. But, what was disputed, is the blitzkrieg approach the Trump Administration is using. Reminds me of Trump's approach to tariffs (and we know what happened there - that's a debacle becoming dire). If the Trump Administration utilized competent, planned and analyzed approaches to policy change, there would be better results and less hatred. The Trump Admin's approach to change appears to be strategically driven by hatred and fear.
