Wife

There is another four-letter word that compliments "Wife" and that's "Love." The words are united, and I am fortunate to have both.

My wife is not just the person I love the most, but she's my best friend. I mean it, she is my best friend. I still feel it when we are out, get separated, then when I see her, there's an indescribable feeling of love, relief, comfort, and thrill. It's the "butterfly" feeling. I know the feeling and I hope other spouses know that feeling.

My wife runs fast....I can't keep up with her....but without me chasing her I wouldn't have: three amazing responsible children/grandchildren; her beautiful smile and eyes; a successful career; retirement; moved seven times around the U.S.; a fun, spontaneous partner; told my father I loved him; fished; painted multiple houses; learned how to dance; saw Pope John Paul; taught me to be myself at parties with wealthy people; have a faith; travelled; bought a Triumph TR6; attended the LA Olympics; watched her hit a hole-in-one; learned to wallpaper; mowed the lawns; washed rocks; used a post hole digger; installed brick, hardwood, carpeted floors; used a chain saw while on a ladder cutting down a tree branch; prayed; meditated; hunted; daily tee times; drove from Chicago to Indianapolis with a ping pong table strapped to the top of our SUV; explored various religious services; shopped at Goodwill; learned to play euchre, tennis, pickleball, backgammon; volunteered at so many events I've lost track; protest; developed friendships; and even be alive! My wife saved my life when I had heart issues. The list is endless....and we're not finished!

Daily I learn something new because of my wife. She's an "ambassador of fun, thoughtfulness, helping others and spirituality."

You know that sensation when your wife holds your hand and it warms your heart? I still have that. Hugs and kisses are good too!

Don't forget: "Greatest thing a father can do for his children is to love the children's mother." Theadore M. Hesburn, Former President of Notre Dame University.

Kill

Kill is a strong word. Kill it. Kill them. Kill time. Kill me. The U.S. has started a war with Iran with the intention to kill people. Iran is defending their sovereignty by also killing people.

Pity

Pity - "self-pity" is the worst form of pity and a sign of insecurity. A pity-party should be a small, short party.
